Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and dry plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Fill bulk bags with sand and place them on pallets.
• Perform warehousing duties, including stacking bulk bags and picking orders for dispatch.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Use basic hand tools to carry out minor repairs and maintenance on dry plant machinery.
• Perform low-frequency manual lifting of up to 15 kg.

Requirements:

• Valid forklift licence required.
• Demonstrated experience operating a forklift.
• Physically fit and able to remain on your feet for most of the shift, as this is not solely a forklift operating role.
• Able to read and write English to complete site inductions, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and understand safety briefings.
• Must be able to wear a PPE respirator.
• Clean-shaven or able to maintain a close-shaven face to ensure a proper respirator seal.
• Respirator allowance of $1.00 per hour paid in addition to the hourly rate.
• Must weigh 120 kg or less to meet the forklift seat weight rating limit.
